VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland is a non-profit government organisation established by law and operating under the auspices of the Finnish Ministry of Employment and the Economy. VTT is a multitechnological research organisation providing high-end technology solutions and innovation services. From its wide knowledge base, VTT can combine different technologies, create new innovations and a wide range of world-class technologies and applied research services, thus improving its clients' competitiveness and competence. Through its international scientific and technology networks, VTT can produce information, upgrade technology knowledge, and create business intelligence and value added for its stakeholders. VTT's Role in ELECTRA IRP: VTT leads the WP6 "Controllable Flexibility" and one of its tasks T6.1 dealing with "Inherent and controllable flexibility across multiple resources and control boundaries". VTT leads also the task 4.4 in WP4 "Security issues and solutions". VTT is also involved in other WPs, among others in WP3, the main focus is in the task T3.3 "Market design" by analysing the new sources of flexibility and the customer's views on the electricity market from the Nordic perspective.
